FRUSTRATED BY TERRIBLE SERVICE

I am absolutely appalled by the "service" that I have been receiving from Woolworths during the last few months, since November of last year. I have tried everything to solve this issue, but it seems that public complaints is the only way to bring something under Woolworths attention - that is if I will be so lucky to be graced by a response.

I have been requested a new card to be issued, as I got married in September 2016 already and wanted to update my details and request the card with the updated details. This in itself took some time, as I struggled to get Woolwoths to update my details and respond to my request despite me providing all the documents requested. On 31 January 2019 they sent me an email confirming that my new card will be issued and sent to Woodlands Blvd within 10 to 15 business days. The card that I did have was blocked, without any notice to me.... I asked someone why my card was blocked, and I received the reply that this is what happens when you request a new card. The email was a typical "copy and paste" email and this was made even more clear due to the two different fonts used in the email, the font being changed where my personal details needed to be filled in on the "template". Frustrated, I decided to just leave it and wait for the new card.

On day 14, the card arrived by mail and was lying in my drive way for everyone to walk and drive over. We do NOT have a postbox..... Either way, I opened and the new card was enclosed. The only instructions in the letter, was that I sign the back of the card and then provide my ID with my first purchases.

The day after I wanted to use my card , but my new card declined. I explained what the situation was and was fuming by this time. The manager of this particular store was kind enough to offer to call and assist, but we had to hold the line for more than 10 minutes! The manager also advised that my card should not be declining. In the store, I sent an email to Woolworths to urgently look into this matter as it has escalated to a point beyond ridiculous. The manager also advised that Woolworths will still be sending the card (the one I requested to be send to Woodlands Blvd) and that I can just ignore the sms from them. This was last week (a week ago) and still I have not received any response........... I have also not received any sms.

I am at this point at an absolute loss of words for the lack of service and utter disregard from Woolworths. It goes beyond my reasoning to try and understand how a brand so big, a front runner in the industry, can go so very very wrong. If my business is not important to you Woolworths, please let me know and I will gladly take is somewhere else....

I also suggest that you start looking into customer service or report these types of incidents. It is unfortunate but the truth that customer service and relations by Woolworths have gone down the drain. Service is appallingly bad. I realize that this is not due to your actions, but the incompetence of other staff members and customer support staff.

I am also STILL waiting to hear back from Woolworths regarding a ***** up with my delivery in November 2018 - yes, it has been so long... There is a man that phoned, but as I was busy at work I was unable to take the call. He also sent and email to ask when he can call me and I advised that he may do so any time, as I will look out for the call. It has also been another week, and no further correspondence from Woolworths have been received.

So much for being a "VIP" customer.
