From Pillar to Post

I app**** for a Woolworths Store card and was approved. I only have a temporary I'd with me so I took it to the store on Tuesday (16 August 2022). I was told they will send it to head office to approve. Yesterday 18 August 2022 I called head office and was told I should collect the card at Woolworths Promenade Mall. When I called the store a lady very abruptly told me I need to wait for their call. Yet I was told on Tuesday it takes max 48 hours we'll we at 72 now and still no word. Why is it that Head Office has a different version than the store. This is quite frustrating
