Fresh Fruit gave me the Worst Food Poisoning

<p>On the night of the 15th of December 2016 I ate a handful of "fresh" Woolworths raspberries, I had eaten these 3-4 hours after I had eaten dinner. However when eating the berries I had noticed a disgusting CHEMICAL taste (even after having washed the berries), I had only eaten 5-6 berries. The next morning I was terribly ill (severe, vomiting, diarrhea, cramping, headaches). On the morning of the 17th I called the Woolworths customer service line to lay a complaint (reference ********** 97), only to be told that seeing that I had not been examined by a doctor (my regular GP was out of town) that there was not much that could be done with my complaint, however I would receive feedback. I was also told by the individual to had taken my call (seeing that they clearly medically trained professionals) that it could not have been the woolworths raspberries that caused my acute onset of GIT symptoms. Subsequent to me laying a complaint I received treatment at Gateway Private Hospital on the 17th of December (IV drip, antispasmodic treatment for stomach cramps, antinausea) as I was severely dehydrated and ill from the food poisoning which caused gastritis and diarrhea. I was then admitted into Gateway Private Hospital for treatment the next day on the 18th of December 2016 as my sypmtoms were still the same if not worse, thereby causing me to miss a day from work and incur medical expenses. It is now 31st December 2016 and I am yet to have any feedback. I still have inflamed stomach lining, fatigue, indigestion and diarrhea as a result of what happened 2 weeks ago. I am highly disgusted with Woolworths lack of communication and feedback. I was indeed a loyal customer, but now I think twice about purchasing from there, particularly fresh produce. If I could give this incident a negative star rating I would. This has consequently impacted on my daily life for the last two weeks where I have not been able to function day to day as I previously did!</p>
