***** AT WOOLWORTHS

On 20.11.2019 at 10.40am ,I went to purchase a few items from Woolworths West Street Durban Store. Whilst passing the clothing rack ,I saw scarves advertised for 2 for R160.00. I purchased two scarves. Whilst I was paying for the items, I noticed that I was charged R99.95 each. I brought this to the cashiers attention, instead of veryifing the price the cashier insisted that this was a promotion for wirerewards only, and not having my rewards card with me, I requested that she removes the items. I then passed the scarve rack on my way out and noticed that the promotion was not limited to the rewards card, rather a general promotion . I brought this to the attention of the cashier who together with another employee removed the sign.

When i queried this I was told that the managers were supposed to override the amount on the slip. I am one of the many customers that dont look at the till slip expecting WOOLWORTHS to be honest.

Bottom line was that I a regular client was made to look like an idiot.

The Manager then informs me that of the pair that I was cheated on, she will give me one no charge and the other scarf has to be paid for in Full.

Woolworths needs to improve the service of this store immediately. Surely the cashier could have averted this by going and checking on the price immediately..Woolworths send your staff to CLICKS for training and etiquette
