My account was recently in arrears and after much harassment and an all in all terrible experience dealing with Woolworths uncouth junk-yard style debt collectors (MBD Attorneys , yeah many of us know them) , I managed at great additional cost to bring my personal loan account up to date. I noticed that despite paying a large chunk off I was still paying a large instalment and went through my account and came across an amount of R290 odd rand which was recorded as Loan taken in March or April over one month . I knew that I had not made such a loan and in fact you cannot take a one month loan . On enquiring I was informed that it was a fee to "bring the account back as it had been in arrears " _ Please enlighten me then why I was paying additional interest as well as a bunch of late payment charges and also why this charge , if valid was disguised as something else .
