Final Notice received from Woolworths Attorneys

<p>During the month of November 2016 I've received a couple of calls from attorneys to make arrangements on my Woolworths credit card. I do recall a Woolworths credit card but according my final divorce order in June 2007, the Woolworths cards needs to be settled and closed. With my first call I ask the lady "why do you call me from an attorneys firm?" The lady responded to inform me that my account were handed over by Woolworths and I need to pay R18 301.95? At that time I thought this was a prank, so I ask her:</p> <p>1) If I did have an account with Woolworths, why did they never called me regards the arrears or late payments on the account,</p> <p>2) As they are a registered credit provider, where did they sent all the account statements to? As I never received any statements on the account.</p> <p>3) What is the reason why the Woolworths credit department never called me or why they never sent me a summons letter on the outstanding balance?</p> <p>4) Where is Woolworths proof that they did made contact with me via calls, letters or emails as my details is up to date as per the attorney firm.</p> <p>5) I went to a local Woolworths store to enquire about an outstanding account with them and they cannot pick up anything with my ID on the system?</p> <p>6) When last was the account or card been used and at what store?</p> <p>7) Once a year I check my credit report and rating, Woolworths does not even shows on there as a bad or slow payer?</p> <p>Now come on....you damanding money from me but cannot even answer my questions. As a customer please advice. If Woolworths can forward my account to attorneys, they sure can assist with the above in order for meto investigate further.</p> <p>And today at 14:17 geust what, another call from +***.</p> <p>What else do I need to do, maybe apply for another Woolworths credit card? With my luck they will most proberly APPROVE it as well but no thank you</p> <p> </p>
