False-advertising from Woolies

My wife recieved an sms from Woolworths Retail from Woolworths in Windhoek, Namibia.

The sms states: WRewards member, your voucher is waiting! Go to Woolies before 21/4/2017, show you WRewards Card to claim it & save on winter must-haves.

We went all the way to Woolworths to claim the voucher, but to no avail. Management said that no voucher is available and that you would have to spend more than a certain amount to recieve a voucher. So this should be considered as false-advertising, by getting the client to go out of their way to get to the store, because they have a voucher waiting for them, only to realize that they should spend money first. Why not state that on the sms in the first place. They actually lie straight to your face, to present them with your membership card to recieve this voucher. This is unacceptable service from Woolworths. We are deeply upset and dissapointed.

So hopefully they will learn from this and stop sending messages that are deceiving.
