False advertising

Woolworths Kolonade served disgusting service. Sign claims up to 25% off mens sleepwear and slippers.

My mother and i went in to Woolworths Kolande and selected SLIPPER socks, which displayed the 25% off just above the slipper socks. When we got to the till the lady said these are not classified as slippers. Unfortunately for her, the actual product claims SLIPPER SOCKS. When i told her that the sign is advertised above the range, she said someone put it there in error. Pamela, who i presume is the supervisor, was called and also said this was incorrect, it does not include these. And asked us if she must remove the item from our purchases. That is abs disgusting service. They were not even prepared to take ownership of their own mistake. As many south africans claim “is it because I am white, and they are black” - they feel they have the power over the 2 white ladies that are clueless.

Cashier was Mbali and another lady by the name of Pamela later stepped in.

When Pamela was “assisting” us, Mbali quickly went and re-arranged the shelf and removed the slipper socks from under the advertised sign.
