False advertising, bad customer service and huge negative impact on my business!!!

On Monday 1st August 2022, I bought 186litres (order # o*** and o***) of full cream milk (1.5 litres x 60+64 quantity) which was on special from the Woolworths Food website. I received order confirmation emails for both orders on the same day.

When I went for collection on 02 August 2022 at the allocated timeslot (10:00) at Columbine Square Woolworths Food, I was informed on my arrival at the store that my order will not be honored as there is no stock availability. It was also mentioned that the Head Office should have called me to inform me about this.

At this point my heart was already raising because these 186litres of milk I had ordered was for my business as we had a very big baking order for one of our clients who has an event this week. Despite my efforts in requesting the Store Manager to fulfil my order of 1.5. litres with the 1 litres containers,I was shocked at her behavior as she walked away from me and sat at the back office without engaging any further with me.

As I am writing this today (03 Aug 2022) I have a very big lump on my throat because I have not been able to honor by business order because the quotation I had sent to my client was based on the special price I bought the milk for. I had to unfortunately refund my client his deposit and cancel the order with him. This has and will continue to have a very negative reputation for my business and it has resulted in us loosing one of our biggest clients.

The Store Manager's behavior/attitude was just a cherry on top. She was not even having her name badge on as she did not even want me to see her name. To date, Woolworths has not phoned or contacted me about this matter and they have not refunded me the money I paid for these orders. I am extremely disappointed at Woolworths for how they handled this whole situation and for their inefficiencies which negatively affected my business.
