False Advertising!

I am lodging a complaint with regards to your recent promotion on your boots across all brands, ending 6 April 2015. I saw a pair of Studio W leather cut out boots in the Winter 2015 edition of the W magazine (code ***). In all references to and descriptions of this shoe, it was referred to as a boot. Your adverts on Twitter and on TV advertised 20% of boots across all your brands, with no fine print saying otherwise. Acting on this, I rushed to your Gateway branch on 6 April so as to purchase these boots and qualify for the 20% discount. Bear in mind that I have just undergone a hip replacement surgery. When my purchases were rung up at the till, the discounted price did not reflect on the boots. I spoke to the in-store manager about this, telling him that this shoe was advertised as a boot in your magazine and, as such, should qualify for the discount. He argued that the shoe was a bootie and not a boot and that it was the fault of the Marketing team for advertising it as a boot. I went out of my way to purchase these boots in spite of my pain and discomfort. If you advertise something, you should make good on it. I am very disappointed by your poor service.
