**** Leather Boots???

Dear Woolworths, Last winter I bought myself a pair of leather ankle boots. It cost me about R660.00 last year. This winter when I obviously want to wear my boots again, I noticed that the nose of the one boot is coming off; the leather is visibly cracking and brushing off. I took the boots in to my local store on Sa****ay 14 May at about 10am. I was told that they couldn’t give me an answer as the manager only starts working at about 11am. I will receive a call when she is in. On Thursday 19 May 2016, after no response, I called the branch to find out, what has happened? I was then told that they will come back to me as that manager was off for the day or something. I received a call then the next day (not from the applicable manager) but another lady, to inform me that the boots was sent away to their technical department for review. I get the idea that If I didn’t call, no one would have let me know. Then on Friday 20 May 2016, I received a call from the branch to tell me that the technical department has returned the boots with an answer “Unjustified”. I was very upset and requested that they send me the report of the technician that assessed the boots. I also went into the branch to ask for the report. I was promised the report on Monday 23 May 2016. I am still waiting. My concern; what I do not understand is, how boots that are made of leather can “come off”. I have 3 pairs of leather pumps which I bought from Woolworths – the 1 pair is about 2 years older than the boots and the other 2 are about 1 year older than the boots. The pumps are also coloured leather, whereas the boots are black leather. And they have no evidence of scuffing or coming off. I need someone to explain to me how this is possible. I compared the leather boots with an old pair of synthetic boots that I have, and I brought it to the store – and their noses comes off the same. My questions and concern is, whether this is in fact real leather????
