Expiry dates and items still selling

Every weekend I visit the Woolworths Eastgate Branch and I am highly frustrated about the expiry dates on the HOT CROSS BUNS. Firstly the date is so small on the package that one finds it so difficult to find. I had a few instances whereby I assisted elderly people as they were unable to find the expiry dates. On Saturday 9 April I visited the store once again, and found it so highly frustrating as all the Extra Spicy HOT CROSS BUNS on the shelf was expiring on the 9 & 10 April. I actually informed a few people that was about to take it and they left them behind. I then approached the Manager Lennox who was standing before the cashiers. All he could tell me that Woolworths has to sell products as received, hence therefore the stock had to sell...He just seemed so disinterested and did not care...If he did he could have asked me to walk with him so that he could see what I was talking about. I was having a function and needed 3 dozens, instead I could not take anything. Woolworths promise to clients provide an environment that is friendly and warm and where customers can be guaranteed quality....How are you living this promise when one does not care about keeping expired products on the shelves. Employee people who cares to make a difference and lot allowing people to buy products which are expiring on the day of your purchase. I am hoping this complaint receives your highest attention as it was not the first time i experienced this.
