expired products on shelves

Bought myself crunchie selection 500g at woolies bridge city today only to find out after kids have opened the pack they expired on the 30 may. Today is the 2nd of June, WHY ARE THEY EVEN STILL ON THE SHELVES??. A few months ago I also bought some bad oreos from the same branch so I'm not sure if this is a trend but I'm not pleased.
