Epic Dissappointment in user-friendliness of pumps

So I have this tradition of annually buying myself a pair of pumps at the Woolworths at King Shaka Airport before leaving for school to China.

This pair of pumps would be my everyday crush moving around campus, it will serve me when I need to be casual going to church or wherever. It is usually very comfortable, versatile and most important durable thus lasting me a whole year and beyond.

This time/this year has proved to be an epic fail, I am beyond dissappointed. The respect I had for Woolworths to be thourough and thoughtful before placing an item on the shelf is slapping me in the face. I have always been so confident in both the quality and user-friendliness of Woolworths products but this last pair of pumps is proving me wrong.

Every single time I use them, it will not be 10minutes of walking before I feel pain on my baby toes, by 20minutes I will have blisters that will eventually burst during my trip and the amount of pain I feel because of this is excruciating. Twice I have had to end the day walking barefoot unable to bear the pain.The last two times "including last Sunday" I tried to use the pumps as flops, hoping the pain will be reduced but still I have gotten blisters almost immediately and they will have burst before I return home.

You may be asking yourself why does she keep putting herself through that pain; its simple

1. A part of me will not accept that Woolworths could make a mistake like this and keep hoping that the shoe will conform.

2. It is the only casual shoe I have for this entire Summer, you see I am a self-funded Medicine Student sponsored by a single parent who is on pension "my mother", I make very calculated dicisions on how to spend every cent. I cannot accept that I have been so wrong about Woolworths, I am so dissappoint and without a plan B. My previous pumps are still in good shape, they have withstood heavy rains, overuse.. .however China is highly humid and when the shoe is not in use during Winter, it becomes fully infested with mould, it just looks frightening, so I cannot use them.
