Dude, unprofessional, discrimanitory shop

I do not even know how to tittle this. As am writing I am hurt, real hurt. I have for almost 7 years lived with an ileostomy bag due to colo****** cancer. I was 21 years old when I was diagnosed with one of the mostly deadly diseases. I battled alot with the physical changes of my body, from being perfectly health to living with an ileostomy.

I have accepted that, I have moved on with my life, iv achieved and still achieving most of the things I put through in my list since the day I was diagnosed. I have told myself I can be and do anything, am not different in any form after all I am still alive, I survived cancer.

I do not expect to be treated differently I really don't but woolworths decided that I should be different, I should be reminded that after all I do live with an ileostomy bag, and they did it in the most inhuman way, publicly. On top of that " I was asked by one of the staff members why did I not disclose my medical condition"

Here is the story am walking out of the shop with a plastic bag and a handbag, I think we were three walking out at the same time. The alarm goes off and this security guard basically singles me and says the alarm went off because of me. How he decided it was me was bizzare because we were about three walking out. OK no problem he tells me I will be searched by a lady, am not understanding this guy has not searched my plastic bag nor my hadbag but goes and says a lady will search me. Now my question is should they not look in the bags first before I am searched. I decide to go by the door while we wait just to see if the alarm will go off now that I don't have my bags with me and it does not. So I ask them why do they want to search me, in that moment I realise my ileostomy bag must be the reason am being searched here. The queues were very long and I had just ate lunch so my bag filled up quickly.

Now am getting and ****ed off, like really angry because I now know why am standing here. I keep asking why am I here and none of them could answer. So am wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a jacket. My shirt is not tight at all and the jacket, the zip of my Jean is slightly open to allow room for my bag, obviously it's filled so there will be a bumped. Now I ask these two staff members again why am I here, what did I do, am I standing here because of this bumped or what. In that moment of feeling emotional i lift up my shirt and I tehn ask them to give me my bags, when I walk out there is no alarm going off. Then I asked them so why is the alarm not going off it is when this guy tells me I should have disclosed my medical condition. One of the guys runs aways, the other one walks to the other side of the store close to the door, and leave me there standing. They tell me I should not cause drama, I should not take pictures, this is the protocol. So woolworths protocol is tk target people who have medical conditions and ask them why they did not disclose it. I patiently wait for the store manager because I needed explanation, there was no manager, after laying a complaint they have the nerve to call me and say we understand what you are going through. Clearly woolworths does not know nor understand cancer and its effects and what it does to one. They have zero understanding of singling someone in the name of *****ing. And jot even apologies for it. Why was I singled out, why did you feel the need t search me, and after I tell you and show you what I have why did you run away, you made it even worse by running away and telling me am being dramatic.

You are the reason am sitting here doubting my inner being, you are the reason many people commit suicide. You think your actions are godly and so forth, do you even understand the damage you have caused.

I deeply hate woolworths. God knows we did not choose to be where we are we simple live and hope to be better and be loved and treated the same. I wonder how may people are being treated unfairly due to their disabilities. I wonder what woolworths does with such employees, what type of healing process do they provide to those affected. Or is it a simple sorry Ma'm like one of the managers on the phone said to me. Is a simple we understand your pain. You don't understand my pain, you are not me, you have zero understanding until you live my life, so stop the act
