DO NOT OPEN A PERSONAL LOAN ACCOUNT THROUGH WOOLWORTHS
To all of you foolishly (like myself) taking a financial loan through Woolworths, please check your statements carefully. I have had a lone that I've borrowed from over time. Last month when I earned a better-th*****ual income, I decided to put R25000 into my loan account early (2 weeks before my statement would be printed), thinking that my monthly payment after this next debit order would at least be considerably less. NOT SO. MY debit order for October was EVEN MORE than the hefty one I had paid in September! When I called Zakir at Financial dept to find out why, he told me it's because I might have paid that R25000, but I TOOK OUT A LOAN on 4 September. I was gobsmacked. I said to him, "WHY WOULD I DEPOSIT R25 000 on the 28th and TAKE OUT R7 000 on 4 September! Show me WHERE You deposited that money, because it's NOT in my usual account! Moreover, I can show exactly WHEN AND WHERE I borrowed from that account, as I've kept all the TruCaller notifications for YEARS. There is NOTHING on 4 September. This was on Friday 11 September. He called me back that afternoon. After a few seconds the call turned to a busy tone and disconnected. NO CALL BACK. And here I sit. YES I emailed ***. No 'read receipt'. So I'm warning you all - DON'T take a loan out through Woolworths. You NEVER KNOW when they'll decide that YOU BORROWED on that loan, without ANY PROOF! To my mind, that sounds like *****. Prove me wrong.
