Do Better Woolworths Liberty Promenade!

Good day,

I was at Woolworths Liberty Promenade yesterday morning and the experience was terrible.

I was at the store just after 9 and wanted to buy the 2x Chicken Special. This is not the first time i've been in the store on a Sunday but this time i decided to be there early enough to buy first.

When I got there the last few times, I had to wait in a long line. This time i thought id beat the line only to find out that the chicken was still not ready.

I was told the chicken would only be ready in 50 to 55 minutes, boy was i upset. I thought i could be there early and skip the line, only to find out im still gonna have to wait. I asked if i could pay for it in the meantime and fetch it afterwards as i needed to still get medicine for my daughter as well.

I was declined by the lady that was helping and i asked to speak to her boss as nobody could tell me why i couldn't pay for the item and fetch it later.

The boss came and gave me no valid reason as to why i couldn't pay, seeing that i was first in line and just collect it in 50 minutes or so.

The more i asked why not the more i was given reasons that did not make any sense!

I mentioned that its a shame why other Woolworths stores has much better service than Promenade as I've been to many other "posh" areas.

This simply cannot be the case, why do we have people standing in lines for more than an hour, elderly people that just came out of church? Why do we have to accept a reason that's not valid in my opinion?

Just because we buy in Mitchells Plain which is considered a "Poor" setting, do we need to receive Poor Service as well?

We need to do better, i am disgusted to think that this issue has been going on now for a while and nobody considered to perhaps start prepping the Chicken a bit earlier? Perhaps let clients pay and collect it later? Are we still stuck in a past where these things don't exist?

The lady named Sharon van Wyk should be ashamed of herself. We are treating our own elderly with such disrespect. I mean, if i had an issue with standing there for so long, how did they not feel?

Actually i know how they felt, everyone was complaining but people are afraid to speak up! I on the other hand am not afraid!

We need to do better, it starts with Woolworths Liberty Promenade.

Do Better!
