Dissatisfied Customer
I visited Woolworths at Mall of Africa this morning to return a clothing item that had a factory default. I had the original price tags however not the receipt. The item was purchased at the beginning of July. The consultant advised me that the item in question was on sale (appears the sale started on the 24 July) so she can only refund me with the sale price which was less 50%. They took 35min to trace the transaction on their systems however was unsuccessful. At this stage the cashier and next in line Pauline was involved with my request. I then asked to see the branch manager. Mille Mdalose listened to my story and continued with the system checks. She said to me that the only solution was to refund me with the sale price which I was not agreeable to because firstly I paid the full price and secondly it was a quality of the material that caused the problem. My honestly and integrity was been questioned, further my time was not being respected. At this point I suggested that they exchange the item with a new one .The manager advised me that there's no size small all at their store, I had to then suggest that they source the item from another store. I waited another 15 min just to be told that they will call me back with feedback. I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with the service. I am a loyal customer for over 15 years, I do purchases at the food store at least twice a week. The fact that I was ****** of 1hr of my Sunday (10.33 to 11.32) and was not treated fairly for a woolworths factory default is totally unacceptable. The manager called me at 12.54pm to mention that they sourced the item and I could come to the store tomorrow evening. So as a customer that is unhappy with the quality of the product , I am forced to retain the items which cost just over R1k, is this fair? Please can the head of client services all me tomorrow. Thanks
