Dishonest advertising

As a long time customer of Woolworths, I take strong exception to the current spate of adverts of "up to 50% off" and "up to 65% off". While I have no doubt that Woolworths has been careful to operate within the boundaries of the law they have completely ignored perception. If I am attracted to a store by "50% off selected items", I expect to go in to a store and find some items at full price and some at 50% off. What I do not expect is to have to search the store to find the two racks of 50% off items, which are simply slow-moving (and particularly ugly) leftovers that no one would want to buy. While not legally dishonest, it is (in my view) morally reprehensible.

To add to it Woolworths has made some very poor choices in product. The women's clothing seems to have been purchased by someone of my grandmother's generation (I am over 60). No wonder they are unable to sell their goods.

But resorting to subterfuge is not okay.
