DISGUSTING WOOLWORTHS MANAGER!!!
I LOVED the little Woolworths located at the Engen garage close to Garden Centre, in Cape Town.
This morning I went in there, like I do most mornings to get something nibbles or breakfast. And as most days the beverages were warm, I didn't opt to have a beverage. During my lunch hour I went there again, only to find ALL the beverages are still warm. I will admit I was a little annoyed, but not to the point of writing this, not yet at least. I decided to feel the fridges temperature, and it wasn't blowing cold air out, not as much as it should. I saw a bit of water dripping from the one fridge, and I remembered my husband telling me that, when a fridge drips like that it might be that its blocked or not cleaned properly, hence it not running at the correct temperature.
I spoke to a front-end supervisor, who then called Lester, the manager. What a nightmare to the Woolworths brand, he is. I wasn't upset I was merely enquiring as to why the beverages always seem to be warm.
Firstly as a Woolworths Manager I would expect his attire to be neat and clean. He had a what I assume, was a white shirt partly hanging out of a very dirty trousers. He came to me reeking of smoke, with the lame excuse. "Well mam the reason why the beverages are warm is because it sells out fast" So when I responded and asked if he meant that since this morning at 6am to now just after 12pm, ALLLLLL the beverages, from waters to fizzy drinks to juice, has all been sold? He first responded with a stinky attitude, and I quote " Well you need to listen and give me a chance to speak" So I said your attitude is not very customer friendly, and i said I don't believe that all the beverages could have been sold this morning, EVERYTHING the fridges had, so he said " Well I'm sorry it has and if you can't understand that cooldrinks sell fast this time of year, well .......(and then he shrugged his shoulders" So I told him your attitude stinks, and I told him I wasn't even rude I was merely enquiring, but he should really not be in this industry, if he doesn't know how to deal with customers, and when I told him I will complain about this, what happened next shocked me out of my boots!!! This is the response of a WOOLWORTHS manager: " Well do your worst, many have tried, *giggles* go ahead do your worst" He continued to patronize me, by laughing and repeatedly saying " Have a lovely day mam, have a lovely day"
All this just because I wanted a cold beverage?? Thank you WOOLWORTHS, you have put a new spin on BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, and that from someone you decided was equipped to be a WOOLWORTHS MANAGER, well done!!!!!
