Disgusting service and treatment of the elderly Kloof KZN

This Sunday 10:30 my elderly mother and myself were shopping at Woolworths food in Kloof, KZN.

She had to use her virtual card on the app - after over 2 months she still hasn’t received her official card (but that’s another issue).

The virtual app card was not registering on the system. It needed authorisation, from the store manager.

We were till number 2 Several times the teller tried calling the store manager. Asking colleges to call him as he ignored the buzzer.

When asked where he was by a co worker she said in Zulu "he isn’t coming he is on lunch!” We has already been waiting for long time for him. 10:49 and he is on lunch! - and would not help. The poor teller was saying, "I think I will have to try and get him.” The teller and the packer (who should be commended for how they tried to help us) "I said you know what I’ll do it!" I went into the back of your staff room to call him. Now you can imagine I was not impressed and everyone in the store could hear the shouting. Because this insulant young rude disgusting person, (there are not enough words to describe him) Turned around to me to say "he is entitled to lunch. He told the girl he is on lunch. And I cannot shout at him for taking lunch!.” "I said I do not give a dam if he is on lunch. Then someone else should be on the floor to assist. You do not just leave a elderly person at the front thinking you are coming!. If he cannot, help then someone should be managing his post. The whole from the staff room to the till he *****ed and moaned. Your tellers were telling him to shut up. Your store was full and I can tell you they took in everything! And they were unimpressed I sure you.

The fact that its seen as ok to let a elderly person wait with out a word.

Our teller was apologising profusely. You should rather promote her! She tried her best. The worst part is it took him not even 1 minute to punch in his authorisation. No apology. Nothing. I did command him on how “great he was as it took him under 1 minute to sort the issue” sarcastically.

Iam furious! In a time when things are tough enough for people. One has to still deal with a With disgusting service to top it off. At Woolworths! I do not want a apology letter form Woolworths. With the typical ******* - we are sorry. This person should be fired! Whomever thought this person had the skills to manage the store should be fired for putting this person in charge. Your company service training division should be held accountable for bad staff training.
