Disgusting & False Advertising

If I can give Woolworths a "0" star, I would.

I app**** for a Woolworths store card for the first time online. Upon approval, their website stated that I can use my "virtual card" immediately while waiting for my physical card to be delivered to me which will be within 4-6 weeks.

When I tried to buy groceries online, it won't allow me to, nor will it show my virtual card details.

When I called Woolworths, I spoke to Lynette to find out what the hell is going on. Lynette then advised that I'm only able to use my store card once my physical card arrived. Then I must physically buy 3 items within a Woolworths store and only thereafter, I may then use my Woolworths store card for online purchases which is not just inconvenient, but not what Woolworths website told me and FALSE ADVERTISING to the customer!!!!!

As advised, the credit funds granted to me shows as "available" on my Woolworths app however, I'm unable to make any online purchases and nowhere on your website does it stipulate that I need to activate my card in the branch first before I can use it nor does it specify that I must first do 3 in-store purchases before I can do any online shopping with my store card. Your website clearly stated that I can use my "virtual card immediately" for payments therefore, this is completely unacceptable and false advertising.

This is like going to the bank to apply for a loan, then the bank approves your loan, makes the funds available in your account immediately and tells you "sorry, you can't use the funds in your account nor make any online purchases with the funds we granted you" which is absolutely bonkers. Nowhere have I ever experienced a retailer with this kind of service or process, as this is very misleading and ********* business practices to advertise one thing, but say completely the opposite to a customer.

I'm beyond disgusted.
