Disappointing experience at Woolworthsd in Clearwater

Well just when I thought, I have heard or seen everything, I get another shocker. I am a huge Woolworths fan. I shop twice a week at woollies, and this has been for years now. Never have I ever experienced anything so brutal at Woolworths in Clearwater, on the 5th of March 2020. I went to Woolies to buy bay shower gifts, and most of the goods I bought was actually on sale, which I was so excited about, because I had quite a bit to buy. When at the till to pay, the cashier told me, that she could not allow an item to go through, it was a 2 piece I had bought for my grandchild, and when I asked her why, she told me the top was a size 4 and the skirt was a size 5... My response to her, was on my goodness, all the 2 piece outfits were not tagged together, and that it makes it so difficult to match the sizes, can she please help me find the correct size, as I was alone with my 3 year grand daughter, and didn't want to put everything back in the trolley, go back and battle to find sizes and watch my granddaughter at the same time, and her response to me was a straight out NO!,. Thinking I had heard wrong, I said excuse me, and she again said No, and then told me they do not help customers when items are on sale. Imagine my shock. While all of this was going on, my son, who has been shopping at Woolworths for 4 years now, walk into the store and toward me, and heard what the cashier had told me. The were 3 other ladies sitting at the back of the counter, on their cellphones, so my son went up to them to ask them to help me, and low and behold, they all said No, they sorry but they do not help customers with sale items. I am sure you can imagine what happened next, I am a very calm person, I politely left my grandchild for my son to keep an eye on, and I took the items back, and found the correct sizes, but when I got back, my son was speaking to 2 of the managers, who told us that they have no idea where their staff got the idea that they do not help with sale items..... Woolworths is a great store, so it was very, very disappointing to be treated like that, and me being a cash paying customer, will never buy at Woolworths again, but what happens with people that actually have an account with them.
