disappointing customers service and neglect of reasoning

I am writting this with a heartache and dissapointes manner last year august I was attracted by Jean winter kids jacket which was on sale by R300 sovi bought as it is a very good norm to buy ahead as the jacket was on sale so i bought a bigger size knowing that my daughter will be ablecto wear it this year winter sovas it was approaching spring i took the jacket and put it away in the cupboard,but today as the wheather is very cold i took out the jacket so that she can wear it but it was to my suprise that the jacket has a tag under arpit so i took back the jacket and I humbly explained to the consultant that the jacket was bought last year august of which its impossible to produce the receipt I understand the consultant who assisted me might not hve not seen the tag but consultant made me feel as if it is my fault that the tag is not removed she wants me to produce proof of purchase i mean lets be realistic who still has last year receipt now she wants be to recall tge till i bought for peace sake I shop at woolworths randomly so at random till how can i remember which till i purchased in august then she said I should point the consultant who assisted me in august I am not sure the consultant can also argue and say it was not me who assisted her she has the right to protect herself I am very disappointed of the treat how is my daughter going to wear a jacket with a discomfort I mean if I stole it i would not mind to pull the tag myself even though the jacket was going to be damaged Please assist Asap
