Disappointed in woolies quality of socks

Hi there. I was given 2 pairs of socks as a gift form a young girl who does not work as she has a mental issue.... The socks was bought at woolies. I wore the 1 pair of socks once. The next day there was a hole in the sock... Was going to send it back but thought I'd just stitch it. The following day I wore the other pair and the exact same thing happened.
