Defamation

I went to Woolworths on Sunday to return an item with my daughter and when i left the shop and was about to reach forever 21 the security guard came to us and told me she needed to search me and my daughter. Right there at the entrance she went through my handbag and also the packages that we had. I have never been so embarrased like this in my life. I then asked her to give me a reason why she was embarassing me infront of my daughter and other customers as i have never ****** anything in my life and have been a loyal customer to woolworths for years and she told me she was told to search us, Another security lady came and said she was the one who gave the order however she had said she mst lookout for someone wearing a pink cap not us. I then asked both of them how they were going to now tell all the people who were looking at us being searched that it was mistaken identify. What infuruates me even more is the fact that when i asked them to show me a notice by woolworths to say they had a right to search my bag they couldnt and worse the sarcasm that i received from them was really degrading. To top is all a manager Merlon came in the pretence of wanting to resolve the matter and informed that he would talk to the security personnel and give me feedback on Monday. He did not bother to call me until i decided to go back to the shop to find out why he didnt call and his response to me was that he remembered it was a public holiday and he doesnt call customers on public holiday. This was just rubbing salt to a wound and he didnot even see the need to apologize or feel any empathy towards how i was feeling. So i asked him if this was standard practise to all customers and is it because im a black female and the only way i can afford to look presentable is if i *****. To date i have not received any call whatso ever which implies that being labelled as a potential ***** by woolworths is acceptable.
