********* , Pathetic Service

Hello Peter

I took out a Woolworths revolving loan a few months ago.

I downloaded the Woolworth's app which provides you with a your store card balance, next premium amount as well as your loan amount taken, when the next premium is due and how much credit you've accumulated this far to withdraw . The app provides u with the Added premium u will pay towards your monthly premium should u decide to take the credit option.

At the time my Laon reflected a credit +-R2000. The application reflected the repayment amount was +- R57. To me at the time R57 was not to bad at all . I then went ahead and chose the option for the R2000 with a repayment of R57 using the same app. I found the app quite useful.

Every month I receive a statement via email . This month my statement reflect my monthly premium of R1180, the extra R2000 credit taken, however the payback amount with interested was +- R750 extra.

I work In the financial industry and all fees should be disclosed to clients. The includes interested premiums fees etc. It's part of legislation of treating customers fairly.

I was shocked to find that my premium increase to +- R2000. I was so disappointed and upset that the fees and interest was not disclosed upfront in order for me to make a sound financial decision. I don't not want to be put in a position were I default on my payment every month due to affordability.

I purchased the credit based on the information I was provided by the app that Woolworth's created to assist client without the hassle of calling in or completing forms.

I then contacted Woolworth's on the 21 to confirm whether the statement is in fact correct. The consultant confirmed and explained that the app will only reflect the premium for the amount of credit, However the R2000 extra credit was added to the initial loan amount taken out and the interest of the total loan amount with equates to +-R750. This was not explained upfront how it actually works.

I informed the consultant that I am not happy with this and that the premium I cannot afford. I explained that I do not want to be in this situation and want someone to please have a look at this and I wanted feedback by close of business on the same day. I told him that the debit order is due to go off on the 24 February, this Friday and would like someone to resolve this. The consultants response to me was that the debit will still go off and committed to attending to my enquiry. To date no call from the consultant, manager or any other person at Woolworth's

I am now left to cancel the debit order at the bank until this is resolved.

Woolworth's might have quality goods but I must say their customer service is appalling. When u commit to calling a customer back , then do so as an expectation was created.

A certain expectation was created when I used their application and would like them to honor it. By not sharing what the actual fees and interest would be is blatantly being *********. You would expect them to do a courtesy call to confirm the credit purchase and disclose what it intale before the funds are transferred .

I don't care how they do it ,but I want it done . Whether it be they extend the term of my Laon to accommodate the extra R2000 loan. If I get no satisfaction, I will be taking my complaint to the Ombudsman.

Regards

A very irate client
