Death benefits

Good day

I would really like to understand we visited Woolworths yesterday 21/03/23 to open an account for my mom which service was not too bad however while opening the account we were told they no longer have the death benefit while on the phone but when I took a pamphlet and showed the consultant he then gave me another pamphlet with other benefits on and told me they no longer have the death benefit option so my concern is why are the booklet stil on the counter and I'm no longer able to have it added to the account this is unacceptable. It simply means I can loòk at it but not buy it.
