**************** at Woolworths

I like to the buy the Woolworths shortbread when it is on a special. What I don't like is getting **********. Shopping at Woolworths Canterbury in Ferndale I took two packs of shortbread off the shelf. The advertising leaflet gives no price but only offers R20 off. So going into the store you have no price indicator. Nonetheless the shelf price for one variant was R51,99 and for the other R55, 99. When I got to the till, the packs rang up at R59,99 each. Effectively, I had to pay more than the shelf price to get the R20 taken off. This is what I call a *******, misrepresenting, blind-siding the customer and just plain thievery. How do retailers get away with advertising products with no price point and then adjusting the price, to catch the consumer. Retailers are given the legal right to rip customers off.
