Damaged and unhygienic

I bought a large pack of your snap sticks beef biltong today. After opening the top of the packet I noticed a few of the pieces were extremely dry, thinking it was just a bad piece I looked at the others and noticed they were all dry, I couldn't even break a piece in half! I then noticed at the bottom of the packet that there was a small slit in the packet. After eating a few pieces I felt sick thinking about what could have crawled inside there! I'm a huge fan of woollies but surely stock gets checked for this kind of thing??? Considering you're selling food?
