Damage caused by woolworths property
On the afternoon of August 5th 2025 I witnessed a woolworths trolley come speeding down the car park of Whale Coast mall and knock the indicator light of my volvo s40 broken. I then moved the trolley out of the way and went up to woolworths to report the incident.
The operations manager Robin Holster assisted my by taking my details, he walked me to my vehicle and proceeded to take photos, he said he will send the photos away. I then asked him to kindly cc me into the emails as I would like to be kept in the loop about the process to get my vehicle repaired as woolworths had trolley guards constantly moving trollies around.
Mr Holster did not cc me into the email. On August 12 I received a call from a Shaheem Ismail, he stated he is from the insurance company and would like to meet with me, he also requested a repairs quote. Mr Ismail came to my workplace on August 14th, he asked me a couple of questions and took the quotation from me. I did not hear back from him a week later and decided to call him. When I called him he said he is still waiting on word as to whether my claim has been approved or not. I had to call him again another week later and he did not take my call, I then called again this time I got through to him and he said the claim went through and he will call me back with details.
Mr Ismail never called me again, nor did he give me any paperwork or a reference number, after not hearing back from my Ismail for almost a month I called him multiple times and each time he an excuse as to why he cannot speak to me or give me answers. Due to all of the frustration and waiting, which during this time my light was still not fixed I went up to woolworths to have a word with Mr Holster, I went up multiple times looking for him and I was told he was out of office. Finally in December of 2024 I got to speak with Mr Holster after months of going to the store to look for him, he told me he will send an email to find out what is going on and I will be CCed into the emails. Which again, I was not CCed and I never heard anything back from him. I went into the store again in January 2025 to speak with Mr Holster and he fed me the same story.
It's almost a year and I have not gotten word from anyone regarding the damage to my vehicle caused my woolworths and I beginning to think there are ******* activities happening, because why would my claim have gone through but no one has gotten back to me.
