Customers treated badly during sales at Greenstone Woolworths

The weirdest thing is happening at Greenstone's Woolworths. The staff there tells me it's just normal when there's a sale. I received an email alerting me to this sale so I went to the shop, found a shoe I really like,, but like seriously, I found just one shoe. Didn't think much of not being able to find the other shoe, i knew there's friendly staff there that would help with finding the other shoe. I thought wrong. The lady who works at the ladies shoe department said she couldn't help me with finding the other shoe as she'd get fired if seen helping a customer with something that's on sale. Like totally refused. What she did agree to was to my request to call the manager. That didn't help. The manager, i think her name is Palesa came across as nothing less than an instigator of this ***** treatment to customers. She actually insulted me right from the start. Her words were "you customers come here to ***** then hide stuff in the shop when there's a sale". Of course I reminded her that she didn't know me and shouldn't paint everyone with that same brush. But since we were in the finger-pointing game, I told her I'd say it wasn't the customers *****ing the stuff but the shop staff. Got very defensive obviously but later on took my number and said she'd call when the other shoe got found. I wasn't optimistic judging from the conversation that preceded. To my point, it's been a week and no call yet from her. I called several times, waiting on lines, to no avail. After 5 calls in one day, I was told they still haven't found the other shoe. This might be normal during sales but what is weird is that there were 3 same style shoes without matching lefts/rights. If indeed the others are being hidden by customers, for whatever reason, they would be found by woolies staff within a week as I'm assuming the floor gets organized and cleaned on a daily? Customers, if savages they are made to be, would hide these thing just on the floor where they can be easily found. But staff, even though I was told they'd get fired immediately, would know the back end corners of the shop where they could hide things to be never found. Sadly, I know I'll never get my shoes but the person who hid the shoe will get them even as the other shoe is with the manager. I hate that I was insulted and made to feel like what's happening is my fault. I shop at woolies greenstone all the time and never suspected I'd be treated differently at any point. The etiquette was just none existent that day. No turnaround time was given ito an update whatsoever, I'm just to wait and pray for a call. Taking down my number was just procedural, when the manager asked Paballo to take my number she actually refused and said I should write them myself which I didn't mind but could see that these people are actually a gang,, no manager-subordinate relationship.
