Country road return

I was at Woolworth to exchange a country road shirt since it was not the right size and the closest Woolworth store to me was the one at weststreet,when I got there they told me I had to go to gateway because they could not exchange country road products at thier store, my complaint is how come they couldn't exhcange there since the brand is exclusive to Woolworth? It's really was a big inconvenience to me as a customer, and why would woolworth have such a tarrable policy ?
