COMPLAINT REGARDING WOOLWORTHS VIRTUAL REWARDS CARD

COMPLAINT REGARDING WOOLWORTHS VIRTUAL REWARDS CARD

I, Michelle Smith, wish to formally lodge a complaint regarding my experience with the Woolworths Virtual Rewards Card.

I was contacted by a consultant on Monday, 16 February 2026 (cell number: ***) and again on Saturday, 21 February 2026 (cell number: ***. On both occasions, I was informed about the Woolworths Virtual Rewards Card and the benefits associated with joining the programme.

During these conversations, the consultants advised that once the virtual card was loaded, I would receive a card number which I should write down and keep. I was further informed that merely by joining the Woolworths Virtual Card programme, I would receive a complimentary R3 000 voucher.

I followed the instructions given and kept the app open as it continued buffering, however, no card details or confirmation were received. I was also advised that I would be prompted to collect the new virtual rewards card at any Woolworths store, which did not occur. Please see the screenshot below.

When I followed up via WhatsApp to enquire about the status of the card, I was simply told, “You will get it.” This vague response was concerning and did not provide any clarity, which has prompted me to formally lodge this complaint.

I hereby respectfully request written clarification regarding this matter and further request assistance from Woolworths to properly activate and download the Virtual Rewards Card so that I may access the benefits associated with it, including the promised voucher.

I trust that this matter will receive urgent attention and look forward to a prompt response.

Kind regards, Michelle Smith ***

Reviewer Update
Following my initial complaint on the 23rd February 2026, I have not been contacted or received any form of communication from Woolworths.

There turn around time to address complaints is unacceptable and it comes down to poor customer services.

I guess they feel that they have enough customers, why worry about customers who are complaining about the rotten services they received.

A very unhappy client.
