Complaint about Woolworths

I went to Woolworths Four ways Mall today, tried to buy two items that would have amounted to R500.00. I realised I didn't have a bag when I got to the counter and asked the cashier to give me a bag for free because I wasn't going to spent money on a bag when I'm making a purchase of that amount. The cashier said he couldn't because that will get him into trouble with management so I simply left the items. It's surprising that the store is willing to loose a purchase of R500.00 over a R2.00 bag. No business sense at all. I still don't understand why retail stores charge clients buying from their stores for bags when their items are already overpriced. I also don't understand why consumer watch is just keeping mum about this practice. Customers are being taken advantage of here and no one is saying anything about it. This is not only Woolworths but all retail stores.
