Check your eggs: chances are they're underweight.

I've often wondered about the actual weight of the eggs that Woolworths claims to be a certain minimum weight. So today I bought 6 'Extra large' eggs' claimed to be more than 59 grams. Getting home. I weigehd each individual egg (I have a reliable scale). The eggs weighed, respectively. 52, 48. 50. 50 and 53 grams. The sixth was cracked, stuck to the box, and disintegrated when I tried to pick it up. Makes me wonder if you can trust any of Woolworths' claims.
