Charged twice for groceries

I went to the Woolworths at The Wedge in Morningside, Sandton. I bought groceries and it amounted to a total of R493,92. I paid for it and was told it didn’t go through because the receipt didn’t print. So I paid again and the receipt printed out. Come to find out that the initial R493,92 that I had paid did actually go off of my account. As well as the second amount that I paid. I took my receipt and went to the Woolworths the next day to get a refund. I was told that my bank should have refunded that amount back into my account by now. So I contacted my bank and they said that both amounts are still pending as Woolworths has not completed their banking. So now I have to wait for them to complete their banking before I can determine if I need to get a refund from Woolworths or if it will already be returned into my account once the banking is complete. It’s a huge inconvenience as it’s a lot of money that I needed for petrol. Now I don’t have this money and I have to sit and wait to see if I’ll even get it back?
