Cancelled Debt review - past payments not taken into consideration

I had a Woolworths account with a balance just below R7000 in 2019. I then went under debt review when I was on maternity leave with my second child. I have paid my accounts via the debt review every month for the past 4 years, until I lost my job this year in March. I requested a payment break for 3 months, just to get back on my feet. It was reinstated in June. In the meantime, because there was no payments, Woolworths terminated the Debt Review contract, which I can understand, but now they are holding me responsible for a payment of R7066, more than my original balance, plus legal fees, and they say the debt review money paid, is no longer relevant. Meaning I have paid and waisted over R5000 in the past 4 years for nothing! This is absolutely unacceptable, as some of my other creditors who also terminated the Debt review, only requested me to pay the balance that was left after the debt review payments was taken into consideration. Why is Woolworths so greedy? I will not buy anything from Woolworths ever again, even if I am paying cash! They are part of the reason why South Africans are struggling more everyday in an already crippling economy. Now they want to milk me for every cent I have and they just pocket the money already paid. Totally unacceptable!!!! They can refund me the Debt review money that was allocated to them, seeing that it is no longer relevant. Then I can settle the account which they handed over to the attorneys!
