can't buy without card

I wanted to buy a top, had my ID, on my OWN account, but they refused to help me. I had to have my card? Where have you ever heard of that, everywhere else you can purchase with your ID, it is my own account, my ID is identification that it is me... Woolworths, your customer service is PATHETIC!
