Can I have my refund

I am extremely disappointed with Woolworths’ online service and lack of accountability.

I placed an order for my children’s clothes on 19 December, paid express shipping, and was promised delivery by 23 December as these clothes were intended for Christmas Day. The order was never delivered.

After days of silence, I tracked the parcel through the courier and it is clearly marked as “missing.” Despite this, Woolworths failed to proactively contact me or explain what happened. All communication only occurred because I repeatedly emailed them.

Because the clothes never arrived, I had to spend my own money to replace them at the last minute. Now, instead of issuing a refund, Woolworths is claiming they must first “receive the parcel back at their warehouse” before refunding me. This makes absolutely no sense, as I never received the parcel in the first place, and the courier has confirmed it is missing.

A customer should not be penalized for a lost parcel, especially after paying for express delivery. This entire experience shows poor communication, poor service, and a refusal to take responsibility for a lost order.

I am still awaiting a full refund, including express shipping costs. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Woolworths’ online shopping platform. My son kept on asking when his clothes are coming as he loved everything I ordered but I was made a lying and empty promise parent that had to do damage control as they had to travel

I requested a refund from Woolworths Online, and today I received an email stating it will take 3–5 business days to process. Let me be very clear: I will not wait. I have given them ample time, and any further “investigation” is unnecessary—they must act immediately.

For a company that claims to follow rigorous quality management systems, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and standard operational procedures, this delay is inexcusable. A proper framework ensures accountability, traceability, and prompt resolution of customer issues. Delaying a refund shows poor operational oversight and blatant disregard for customers.

I expect my refund today. Failure to act immediately may leave me no choice but to escalate this matter formally, including lodging complaints with consumer protection authorities. Customers deserve respect, transparency, and swift resolution—not empty promises and excuses.
