Breach of contract on Building Cover
During November, December 2013 and January 2014 to February 2014 there was a high amount charged for water. For this four (4) months period my water bill was R78 000.00.After testing my taps I discovered that the underground water pipe that leads to the kitchen has burst. The damages I suffered as a result of the pipe burst was R78 000.00.I am dissatisfied with the insurance decision because their decision to reject my application contradicts their letter dated 26 June 2014 as well as their policy see page 10 of their policy under the heading Building Cover, for example if my geyser burst the insurance does not only repair they geyser but also fixes all the damages which were caused by the burst geyser that included ceiling and the carpets. Therefore the amount of R33 000.00 is the damage I have sustained as a result of the burst pipe. Therefore they are expected to make good of the loss I suffered to the amount of R33 000.00 after the Municipality reduced. Their rejection of the claim is malicious. I want the Hello Peter to ask the Woolworths insurance to relook the matter as it is the breach of contract.
