Black Credit Card Limit Update
I recently app**** for and was approved for the Woolworths black credit card. The limit that I was offered was R80000. I decided on a R1000 limit as I wanted to use the card and decide based on my usage what limit to keep. A few weeks later I called and attempted to increase my limit. Low and behold I was informed I can't increase my limit for 6 months. This is ridiculous. Why wasn't I informed of this at the point of being offered my limit? Why is this info not specially mentioned on the website? This is now a great inconvenience to me. An option that was offered was to cancel the card and reapply - ridiculous to do this just to get a limit increase. With FNB you can increase your limit at any time based on risk profile and affordability. This is how it should be, limit increase processed based solely in the customer's risk profile and affordability. Not having an unreasonable 6 months waiting period which is not mentioned at the time of application nor online on the credit card info page. Do I have to cancel my card and reapply or can the limit be increased???? Thank you
