Bait advertising

I went to go buy a shirt cash on sale for R200. Was told by the cashier if you buy the shirt on card you get a further 15% discount which is R30. But what happened next I wip my card out only to discover Woolworths closed the account as it was dormant. Went to financial services only to be told they cannot open my card and that i must come back with my id, 3 months bank statement and proof of address. OK. So i did so and only after the application was filled in before i signed I was told that I will have to pay R160 to open the account. R50 to keep the card open and 20% interest after 55days. Which add up to R410 plus 20% interest for one ****** shirt i could have bought in the 1st place for R200. If they had told me this in the 1st place I would have declined. Woolworths have waisted my precious time. I stood in 3 queues and did the run around for the required documents. This is bait advertising.
