Bad service

I app**** for a store card .it was declined because I didn’t attach a bank statement and payslip .I was only told about verification photos as I called into the contact centre because I was struggling to take selfies.now I must wait for 30 days to reapply.just because of missing documents .why did no one call or email to send through those documents instead of declining me .what horrible service
