Bad Customer Service- Woolworths Tygervalley

Yesterday the 7th of March 2025, I went to woolworths in Tygervalley Centre to purchase some items with my woolworths card. Before I paid my items I decided to first pay my account. The amount that was due on my account was about R106, however I made a payment of R500 as I always pay more than what is due every month. I then ask the teller to ring my items on my woolies card which were totalling up to R300 and that was my son's school Grey short pants. I was told that I won't be able to use my card because my name was not clear on my card. I then asked them if they managed to put through the payment that I made on my account, why can't they allow me to purchase because all the information is in front of them and I am even willing to show my ID as a proof as well. I was sent from pillar to post told about security risks. The very same security risks that was never considered when I was paying the account few minutes ago and now that I am purchasing they are coming into play. I couldn't purchase with my card at all as no one could assist me and I had to use the money from my bank card which I didn't budgeted for. The service was so ridiculous because if I knew I could have paid the exact amount and buy my son's staff cash. I've been using this card at other woolies stores and I've never experience what I had experience in Tygervalley. Their service is disgusting and I will never use that store again. Why would you let me pay my account using the same card that you can't accept for purchasing. Woolworths should consider revisiting their policy when it comes to the card and it is not the customers fault that they issuing cheap cards with customers details that fades after a certain period. I've been a good customer of woolworths for so many years only to be treated like that now. I regret going to that store and I will discourage anyone to use it.
