Bad customer service and customer right violation
I bought some clothing at Woolworths lakeside mall on the 20th June 2020, when i got home 2 items did not fit me and i returned the clothing into the store on the 23 June 2020 to exchange but on one item i did not find the correct size. i opted to exchange one item and get a cash refund for the other item. The teller lady inspected my clothing and they were in a good condition and i also gave her my receipt, she requested for the bank card that bought those items but unfortunately i couldn't find my card and they told me that they will put my money in the Woolworths gift card. I refused as i have proof of purchase and according to their policy at the back of the receipt is stating that if you have a receipt and the clothes are in good condition i can get my refund. I was humiliated for asking my own money and the management at Woolworths Benoni are very arrogant and they humiliated me and called me an abuser when i ask for help. i am feeling so disappointed as their client cause they want to violate my rights as a customer. If they can put the money into the gift voucher, why can't they give me my money. i am so disturbed by the way they treated me at the store yesterday cause they made me to open my cellphone banking to prove that it was my banking card but still refused to help me. they left me standing without any conclusion to the matter and i had to buy airtime to call customer service but i also didn't get help because the manager by the name of Annah was not willing to assist and she enjoyed making fun of me with her team. i was in the shop for more than 2 hours without getting any help.
I need Woolworths South Africa to attend to my concerns of bad customer service and unfair treatment. My rights as a customer should not be taken for granted.
