Bad customer service

I've app**** for a store card last week Friday. I've been following up every day to see how far the application is and today, a whole week later I am told that the application is still 'in review'. Why is this taking so long, it's literally a store card, not a credit card! Can someone please get back to me asap as this is taking longer than usual.
