Bad Customer service

I purchased a pair of boots for my son that almost cost me R500. When I took it from the shelf it was on a size 3 hanger/shoe clip and I assumed it was a size 3. However when I got home i saw it was a size 1. Too small for my son to even put on his feet. I returned the shoe/boot to Woolworths Greenacres where I purchased it and the lady who assisted said that the boot was worn and they could not take it back. I told them however since the boot was too small to go on his feet it is impossible for him to have worn it. Needless to say they refuse to take it back . I left the shoes with them since I have no used for it since my son cannot wear them. Very poor customer service......
