Bad attitude & rude behaviour by Sophy Malamela (cashier) - Eldo Square store

I have been trying to call the store number since Saturday 26 January but to no avail. The number just rings continuously.

I would like to bring to your attention the rude behaviour of the cashier, Sophy Malamela, at the Woolworths store in Eldo Square, Eldoraigne at 8:40 in the morning. I greeted her with a smile and she did not respond and looked very moody and aggressive.

I then handed her the"MY SCHOOL" card, which is what we normally do when we pay and cashiers usually ask if we have a woolworths or my school card. She very rudely said to me "you can do it yourself". I asked her where do I swipe it as it's the first time I'm asked to do it myself. She looked at me in anger and said there. Took the card and just made a sign that I should swipe it at the side of the machine. She treated me as though I was a stupid person. at my workplace, I interact with people of all cultures daily and know very well how to be polite with clients.

She did not ask if I needed a bag as all cashiers do. I could see she's not polite to even talk, so I immediately said "may I have a bag too please" she just dumped my items in the bag and pushed the slip in the bag. Without a word of thank you or even have a nice day, like all other cashiers do.

This is the first time that I have experienced such behaviour at this store and I was extremely disappointed and really furious to experience such an attitude so early in the morning.

I hope that this matter can receive your urgent attention as this is not the first time I have noticed that the same cashier never smiles or greets politely. She is always very serious and looks aggressive and angry. She should be sent on some training on how to treat clients. This is really unacceptable.
