Arrogant Manager

I bought Liquid Foundation at the OR Tambo Airport Store last week. I wanted the Caramel colour on the Stilla brand, but the beauty consultant advised me they don't have a tester for Caramel. She offered that I try another brand, I refused because I had used the Stilla before and wanted to try it again. She suggested that I try the Almond colour which looked fine at the shop, She advised that I can return it at the store if I am not happy with the product. I used the product for two days and realized it does not compliment my complexion. I went back to the store yesterday, to exchange the make-up for a darker shade, I was met by the same assistant, who advised me to consult their enquiries desk for an exchange.

I spoke to a store manager named Thapelo who advised me that the beauty section is not his department but I can exchange it, however I have to provide a receipt, I told him I have misplaced the receipt however, the beauty consultant that was assisting me is present and very much aware of my situation. He went to confirm with the consultant, she confirmed that I bought the make -up at the store and that they did not have a tester for the shade I wanted.

Thapelo said he would have to consult with another manager named Silas which I had to speak to over the phone as he was not at the store. Silas was very arrogant over the phone and kept on asking me why I left the store with the product when I wasn't sure about it. I told him it looked fine when I was at the store and it was only app**** on one side of my face but I only realized after using it the next day that it is not the right shade!

Today I met Silas at the store again, he told me they would exchange it if the product was not open, but how was I supposed to know that it's not the right shade without opening it.

I am very angry as I had spent a lot of money on this product, I wouldn't have purchased it if I knew returning it would be such a mission, especially when I was assured I would be able to return it!

I always buy my make-up at Woolworths, I am disappointed with the way the manager handled the situation.
